Sad news with the passing of popular trainer Robert “Pud” Davies.
A gentleman & a larrikin, Pud was a popular figure in racing, having trained more than 550 winners in his long career from his base at Cessnock.
Among his winning brigade were Sandrio, Lady Jewelled, Supperman & Delilah.
Pud retired in 2019 but maintained a keen interest in racing. Condolences to Pud’s wife Sandra, son Rodney & daughters Kim & Kelly from all at PRNSW & the wider racing community.
