Fashionistas and punters alike will flock to Newcastle Racecourse to be one of the first to experience the richest race day ever held at a provincial club in NSW.
With a spectacular line-up of live performances and celebrity guests, Newcastle racecourse is the place to be Saturday 16 November for the $1 million race, The Hunter.
There is a range of fantastic ticket options to suit all styles and budgets, from the VIP marquee overflowing with champagne and fresh local seafood, as well as the who’s who of fashion and racing to rub shoulders with, or enjoy the socialite’s playground with food trucks, frivolity and fun. There will be a Moet Vending Machine, PIMM’s Horse Float, Canadian Club Bar, ONYX Espresso Martini Bar, Heineken 3 Bar and a Craft Beer Hall.
The Hunter is set to become a landmark event on Newcastle social, sporting and entertainment calendar with crowds estimated of up to 10,000 visitors.
Local trainer Kris Lees is expected to have a strong hand in the 1300m feature, with his team of horses headlined by three-time Group One winner Le Romain. Also on the card is the $160,000 G3 NJC 3YO Spring Stakes (1600m) which will attract a field of up-and-coming stars including Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott’s undefeated youngster Rule The World.
