RACE 1 WITH LOVE FOR ZAC 2YO MAIDEN PLATE 900M
A very competitive field of two-year-olds on debut, with a number of leading Sydney stables represented. The two that caught the eye in the trials, were the Mark Newnham filly Blazing Miss and the Snowden’s Cosmic Force. Blazing Miss was slow out and wide all the way when an impressive barrier trial winner recently. Barrier one is a big plus.
Cosmic Force was first out in the trial and after being eased back to fourth three wide he ran home nicely.
Fowz from the Hawkes stable trialled nicely.

RACE 2 NEWCASTLE STEVEDORES BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 900M
Natalia had no luck when she was beaten odds on favourite first up at Hawkesbury recently. She was caught three wide with no cover before finishing 2 ½ lengths.
Silver Melody was very good winning on debut in July and she trialled nicely recently.
Classify was heavily backed when a debut winner here thirteen months ago and she was narrowly beaten in a recent trial.

RACE 3 QUARRY MINING & CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MAIDEN PLATE 900M
Nivalis raced greenly when narrowly beaten first up on this track three weeks ago. The filly will race off the speed as she did last start. The Godolphin stable have had a magnificent Spring Carnival and Navalis carries the royal blue.
Montalis is a blue blood on debut and she has had four trials. Blinkers go on and the Thompson- Hawkes combination has a great strike rate on this track.
Snip’N’Stare has shown good speed in trials.

RACE 4 AMPCONTROL CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE 1850M
Bring It Back was run down and beaten a length at Canterbury last start over 1550. He has a light weight and with the apprentice riding he is expected to lead.
Front View disappointed last start but he is a half-brother to a Melbourne Cup winner and he raced well here two starts back.
Captains Legend improved sharply last start and he has a chance

RACE 5 WESTPAC RESCUE HELICOPTER SERVICE F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400M
Loved One was never on the track when runner up at Kembla two weeks ago. The New Zealand bred filly wanted to hang from the 1600 but she was game. She will be fitter this time and the rails barrier will be a huge positive.
Candy Girl will appreciate the shorter trip and she has drawn well, while Wanchai can run a place.

RACE 6 QUATTRO RISK SERVICES CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400M
Zeppelin is clearly the class runner and after an eleven month break he was placed at Kembla first up two weeks back. Last prep he was placed at Randwick and Canterbury and he will race on the pace.
Stablemate Black Sunrise missed the start by two lengths when fourth on debut at Kembla recently.
Culbertson is on debut after a quiet trial.

RACE 7 PACIFIC NATIONAL NEWCASTLE NOBBYS – BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1300M
An open race, however, Tabrobane has a penchant for this track and is racing well enough to win. After an easy Newcastle win three starts back he hasn’t been far away in two recent starts on the Kensington track. He has a positive barrier and the jockey is flying.
Art D’amour is close to a win and he will appreciate the firmer track after a last start second on a heavy track at Taree.
Kotinos has won three races at Newcastle and is a bold front runner.

RACE 8 SUBWAY CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400M
Toryjoy is first up after a nice trial and she was a Warwick Farm winner in May. She is a lightly raced filly in the Waller stable and is the class runner.
Wild Kingdom looked good in winning at Hawkesbury first up after a slow start. The 1400 on the roomy track will enhance his prospects.
Mandalong Emperor went well at Gosford last start and he has a chance
