RACE 1. NEWCASTLE NEWMARKET FRIDAY 9 MARCH CLASS 1 & MAIDEN 1880M

Classic Thoughts was given a patient ride back in the field when she outstayed her rivals on this track last start. This is a better field but she will be hard to hold out again with Shinn in the saddle.

Regal Cannon was nailed on the post at Canterbury last start and he is expected to lead again.

Petite has been placed in two recent Victorian country starts and the trip is no problem.

RACE 2. EVENTS @ NEWCASTLE RACECOURSE BENCHMARK 72 1600M

Marman is double figure odds and the price won’t stop him from performing well. He was 50/1 when he stormed home from last to win on this track a month ago. He is weighted okay with the claim and he will hit the line.

Temprado fought back when he looked beaten on this track last start and he has a good chance again.

Attracted was too classy for a weaker field at Hawkesbury last start.

RACE 3. JENNINGS PRINT MAIDEN PLATE 900M

Sent From Above is a fast filly making her debut. She led a Warwick Farm 800 metre trial by eight lengths recently before being allowed to coast to the line. Schofield trialled her and will be aboard on Thursday.

Lets Geton With It was unlucky when narrowly beaten in the recent Ron Martin Walcha Maiden and she should run well.

Milage trialled okay in preparation for this first up run.

RACE 4. SHARP ELECTRONICS MAIDEN 1200M

My Zebrinka was narrowly beaten first up at Randwick after racing on the speed. He will be fitter second up and from the good barrier he will race handy.

Blazeray trialled very well for this assignment and his metropolitan form last prep was good enough.

Palmateer resumes on the back of a nice trail and she should run well.

RACE 5. GUARDIAN SAFTEY SOLUTIONS CLASS 2 1400M

Swaffham Bulbeck raced in second place until the top of the straight where he took the lead when a narrow Randwick winner on February 7. He was lucky to win as Prahaar joined him and appeared certain to win before dislodging his rider in the closing stages. However, Swaffham Bulbeck went well enough to win this race.

Chapelco is a front runner which won a recent Warwick Farm trial.

Bukzel came from last when beaten three quarters of a length on this track last start.

RACE 6. SUEZ 3YO MAIDEN PLATE 1400M

Plagiarist was placed in his only two starts in November before he went for a spell. He was never off the bit in a recent trial and he will love the long straight.

Cappamore was beaten a nose here last start and she has her foot on the till.

Sondelon is on debut after two Randwick trial wins.

RACE 7. TJS SERVICES BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1200M

Jack’s Bar steps up in class after two easy wins at Taree. Since his last run he has been kept up to the mark with a recent trial. He will possibly go forward from his tricky draw.

Eschara held on to win at Hawkesbury last start and she is a big threat.

Missybeel has trialled okay since her recent failure on this track.

RACE 8. PRESTIGE WEDDING & EVENT HIRE MAIDEN 1500M

Mr Kylin came from tailed off to get within 1 ½ lengths of the winner in a Kembla 1400 last start. The extra trip and the long straight will be to his liking.

Battle Fury got tired first up but he will be fitter this time.

Delfuego ran on okay first up and he has a chance in this field.
