Kris lees will send three of his team to the Cessnock meeting on Tuesday and Newcastle’s premier trainer with 106 ½ winners already this season is expected to add to his seasons tally. The first of Lees’ runners Miss Kyeema steps out in race 2 the ANZAC Day Races @ Cessnock Class 2 Handicap (1570m). The filly’s tardiness at the start has cost her during her short career but she has a win and three placings to her credit. Miss Kyeema wasn’t far away after over racing in a similar field at Scone last start. She has a chance in an open race.
Emerging stayer Hi Caliber bolted in with a Taree 2000 metre Maiden and Class 1 last start and Lees has found a winnable race, The Royal Oak Hotel Cessnock Benchmark 65 (2125m). The four-year-old was unlucky in his previous run at Tamworth.
The best of the Lees two is Septango in the Cessnock Leagues Club Maiden (1350m). He was three wide with no cover when beaten less than half a length at Port Macquarie last start. The three-year-old has been placed in three of his eight starts and this is not a strong field.
RACE 1 XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 HANDICAP 900M
Cunningar Lass is a fast mare, drawn well and has RT aboard. The mare won in a canter two starts back at Gulgandra over 800 metres and she was only beaten three lengths at Muswellbrook last start.
Garryfromthebull is a speedster which led all the way for an easy 800 metre win at Coffs Harbour two weeks back.
Swift arrival came from misfiled to win a 900 metre Maiden at Muswellbrook on March 2.

RACE 2 ANZAC DAY RACES @ CESSNOCK CLASS 2 1570M
The ultra-consistent Longchamp lass broke through for a well-deserved win at Scone recently. She is an on-pace runner and was placed twice on the Newcastle tracks before the Scone win. The 2-kilogram claim brings the mare in well at the weights.
Lightning Lockies’ a front runner with sound provincial form.
Jackknife was just beaten at Scone two runs back and he has raced well on this week.

3 Lightning Lockie
RACE 3 BUYABALE.COM.AU / NJC CLASS 1 1350M
Lady I am was well fancied when beaten four lengths in a strong race at Wyong first up. She had very good form last prep which included an easy Goulburn win in November. The blinkers come off and Callow goes on.
Cash Strapped has very good provincial form and is an on pacer with a chance.
Lugard Road has been racing well at Muswellbrook and could fill a place.

RACE 4 ROYAL OAK HOTEL CESSNOCK BENCHMARK 65 2125M
Hi Caliber bolted in with a Taree Class 1 and Maiden last start and he can win again. He was unlucky two starts back at Tamworth and he is a stout stayer.
Zigamore has a big weight but his strong win with 62 kilograms at Taree last start was full of merit.
Parnossos is in good form and is ready for 2125m.
7 Hi Caliber
RACE 5 CESSNOCK LEAGUES CLUB MAIDEN 1350M
Septango has been a disappointment but this looks like his race. The gelding had no luck when wide with no cover but still hit the front in the straight at Port Macquarie last start. He was only beaten a neck and he has been placed in three of eight starts.
Diamond Deluxe was runner up in her only start at Taree a couple of weeks back and she will be fitter.
Whitty Woman was placed at Newcastle two starts back and should run well.
2 Diamond Deluxe
13 Whitty Woman
RACE 6 IGA LIQUOR MAIDEN 1570M
Devious was narrowly beaten at Nowra three weeks ago and he was badly checked when beaten two lengths at Bathurst two runs back. He has a tricky draw but this is a winnable race.
Lilac Wine has been placed in her past three starts and she is drawn well and Chakkapen has a chance.
9 Lilac Wine
RACE 7 EAST CESSNOCK BOWLING CLUB BENCHMARK 55 1150M
Tapavino has a wide draw but she has very good provincial form recently. Placed in her past three at Wyong this mare ran on for third in a much better field than this at Wyong on March 3.
Son D’Amour is close to a win after two recently placings at Scone and Cessnock.
Frogmarch is chasing a hat trick.
