This is a crackerjack country Class 2. Kettering is promising and he bolted in over 900 metres at Newcastle last start. He has been runner up to two city class gallopers and he did start favourite in a Canterbury race two starts back.

Goldylux was an odd on favourite when a close third in a field of four at Nowra on Melbourne Cup Day. She was placed at Dubbo first up and from barrier four she may take some catching.
Usainly has been placed in tow of his five starts and he has speed.
Calamity Mo bolted in with a recent Beaumont trial and she must be considered.

A very open race with mediocre form lines One More For Wilson is a former Queenslander placed in four of twelve starts. His first up run at Coonabarabran was fair but the extra trip here is more to his liking.
Tangarra Express provided a career best performance when placed at Port Macquarie last start and he has a chance in this filed.
Soolaimon drops sharply in class.

RACE 4 - IGA LIQUOR BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 2125M
Sunday Swindler is in good form as he steps up in trip. He won well over 1750 at Muswellbrook two starts back and he followed up with a close second in a stronger race than this on the same track. He is an on pacer and from the good barrier he should have a cosy win.
Backhouse Billy has been racing well on the mid north coast and he will be hard to beat.
Local stayer Dr Kimble is a last start Kempsey winner.

RACE 5 - THE ROYAL OAK HOTEL CESSNOCK CUP 1350M
Robert Thompson chases his Sixth Cessnock Cup aboard Invicta and he is expected to start favourite. The four year old won three on the trot during the winter at Cessnock, Newcastle and Warwick Farm. He finished well back first up at Rosehill but he will be fitter this time.
Pippi’s Pride is racing well in strong fields and he wasn’t far away in the Jungle Juice Cup.
I’m Danny is a bold front runner with two wins from his past three starts and he races well at Cessnock.

RACE 6 - EAST CESSNOCK BOWLING CLUB MAIDEN PLATE 1150M
Destiny’s Choice is knocking on the door after a solid placing in a much stronger race than this at Newcastle last start. He went okay at Wyong first up when not fully wound up. He has a nice barrier and can take up a position.
Classy Hussy is on debut on the back of sound barrier trial form and she has the rails barrier.
Citizen’s Arrest is down in class.

RACE 7 - CESSNOCK LEAGUES CLUB BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1570M
This is a tough race with many chances. The Iron Maiden is never far away in stronger races at the provincials and this is a drop in class. She has to overcome a tricky draw but she is capable.
Serious Dancer has been in good form at Muswellbrook but also has an adverse barrier.
Sulien won well first up at Muswellbrook before a tiring fourth at Hawksbury.

Twice As Sweet is a speedy mare which led all the way here two starts back. She is well placed here and will be hard to catch.
