Dates have been announced for Racing NSW & Equestrian Australia’s Equimillion for 2024, with the competition set to start on Friday, 4 October 2024 and take place across the October long weekend at Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
Over $1 million in prize money is distributed across 4 disciplines; dressage, Show Horse, Eventing and Show Jumping. $30,000 in prizemoney will be distributed in each class across Junior, Amateur and Open Professional Competitors.
The calendar for the events across the weekend is as follows:
- Friday 4th October – Dressage
- Saturday 5th October – Show Horse & Eventing Dressage
- Sunday 6th October – Eventing Jumping and Cross Country
- Monday 7th October – Show Jumping

NOMINATIONS FOR SPONSORSHIP ARE NOW OPEN
Newcastle Racecourse will be offering two sponsorships to the value of $1,100 per rider, to cover the cost of their nomination ($600+GST) and their competition fee ($400+GST).
To be eligible to apply for Newcastle Racecourse’s funding, applicants must have completed one or more of the following conditions:
- Have ridden trackwork for a registered Newcastle Racecourse trainer within the last 12 months
- Worked for a registered Newcastle Racecourse trainer within the last 12 months
- Own or compete with a thoroughbred racehorse that has raced or trained at Newcastle Racecourse

Successful applicants will be determined by representatives of Newcastle Racecourse and contacted by phone and email on Wednesday 31st of July. An announcement will follow, naming the two riders competing on behalf of Newcastle Racecourse. Riders must be available for regular photo and media opportunities.
