Iron Duke steps up in distance after an easy win on this track on August 25. The win was over 1885 metres and he led all the way to win by more than four lengths. This race is tougher, but he is lightly raced and is a progressive stayer.
Only You was held up in the straight when a strong finishing second over this trip on August 25.
Annie Saturday has been placed in her only two starts and has a chance.

Adamina drops sharply in class and is thrown into the race under the set weight conditions. She was beaten a long head behind Fiesta in the Group 3 Widden Stakes in February and she wasn’t far away in the Group 2 Silver Shadow.
Starry resumes on the back of a nice Randwick trial and she has McEvoy and barrier one.
Akeed went well enough in his only start to have a chance.

RACE 3 THE ALBION HOTEL WICKHAM MAIDEN 1600M
Given Time put the writing on the wall with a slashing second on this track on August 16. He was blocked for a run at the 300 and after conceding the winner and impossible start he stormed home to fail by a length. Given Time will appreciate the extra 100 metres and he has been placed in two starts at Newcastle.
Holy Reign is close to a win after two seconds at Newcastle and Taree.
Wild Impact is on debut after a strong trial win.

RACE 4 ALFABS CLASS 2 HEAT OF THE RISING STAR 1400M
Alferous is a smart filly and she only carrier 53 kilograms after the claim. On debut at Newcastle on July 7 she ran down subsequent winner Rectitude and in her only other start she was placed at Rosehill. The filly had a quiet trial recently.
Spring Charlie will appreciate the roomier track and the longer trip.
Danzie had no luck first up when narrowly beaten and she had good city form earlier this year.

RACE 5 MCDONALDS SINGLETON BENCHMARK 64 1200M
Power Command is well placed in this field and this is a big drop in class. She led all the way to win a Wyong Maiden back in June 2017 and she followed up with a solid placing at Canterbury. After an eight-month spell, Power Command wasn’t far away at Canterbury three weeks back and her only win was second up.
Michell’s Gift misses her form but she had placed twice in recent starts.
Ferniehirst raced well in quality fields last prep and she is at her peak after two runs this time in.

Our Dawn went well first up when she came from well back to finish fourth in a strong Gosford Maiden three weeks ago. The filly showed potential in her only two runs earlier this year and the 1300 metre trip on the roomy tack is ideal.
Carambola is on debut and has drawn wide, however her recent trial win was impressive.
Frankley Awesome looked good in a recent trail win.

Rheingau resumes here and his form last prep was good enough to win this race. He was placed three times last time in and in strong fields. He trialled nicely under a hold recently.
Primitivo is talented but has had a habit of missing the start. The long straight is in his favour.
Exceltic drops sharply in class after racing well in recent black type races.

Jacks Bar is a front runner with an ultra-consistent record and this is a lovely race for him. He has been run down late in his only two starts this prep and he is cherry ripe now.
Sneaky Fella has won two recent trials after his debut win at Kembla 12 months ago.
Mr Bonjove is racing well and has the rails barrier.
