RACE 1 – PEOPLE FUSION HUNTER STAYERS’ CUP 2900M
Darren Weir has a runner in Newcastle for only the second time with former French stayer It’s A Silvertrail. The latter has won two 2500 metre races in Victoria and he has been placed over 3480 metres in country Victoria. He was narrowly beaten at Mooney Valley two starts back.
Dads Boy bolted in over 2860 metres on this track on July 31 and he will stay all day.
Stradazzle was an easy winner over 2600 at Gosford last start.

RACE 2 – 65 ROSES FILLIES & MARES BENCHMARK 67 1300M
Vinnie Power has had two runs this prep in stronger fields and she is ready to improve sharply. She has good form on this track and has drawn well. The three-kilogram allowance brings her in nicely at the weights.
Ondo Pasa is consistent and she has the rails barrier.
Aeecee Tong De had good form last prep including a Canterbury win and two Mooney Valley placings.

RACE 3 – JUST BREATHE MAIDEN 900M
Sent From Above was heavily backed on debut when she was run down in a strong 1000 metre Maiden. She will appreciate the shorter trip as she has speed to burn and she won two barrier trials prior to her debut.
Directory was good second up on this track on July 31 and she has the rails barrier.
Mapili has trialled okay and has a chance.

RACE 4 – KALAN MEMORIAL NEWCASTLE NOBBYS 900M
Invincible Gangsta is the clear runner and he has been placed in his past three starts. He is a winner on this track and he broke the Scone 900 metre record last prep. He has a big weight but has a soft draw.
Rastafarian is racing well on country tracks and he got within a length of the winner in a much stronger race at the recent Coffs Harbour Cup Carnival.
Table Two has won three races over 900 and his first up placing at Scone was encouraging.

RACE 5 – METROLL MAIDEN PLATE 1400M
Nuclear Burst has been runner up in all three starts on the Central Coast. He is crying out for the 1400 and is weighted okay under the conditions.
Cloak was runner up at Canterbury last start and he is a big player here.
Iron Duke’s first up run at Tamworth was an eye catcher.

RACE 6 – WAMBO COAL BENCHMARK 64 1300M
Roman Typhoon’s greenness has cost him throughout his career, but he is the most talented in this race. He has won a Rosehill Highway two starts back and he will love the long straight.
Jack’s Bar resumed from a spell with a courageous second at Gosford recently and is a leader.
Your Witness normally races well here and has a place chance.

RACE 7 – ROBSON CIVIL PROJECTS MAIDEN 1200M
Hemsted chased home a Group horse first up and is a huge drop in class. He ran on strong at Wyong and the longer trip and long straight is ideal.
Netherlands was runner up at Canterbury and Newcastle last prep and he has had two recent trials.
Fury Of The Storm has been placed in his only two starts at Gosford and the Newcastle track will be too his liking.

RACE 8 – SHARP ELECTRONICS GROUP NEWCASTLE CUP SEPTEMBER 14 1200M
Leonarda ran on strong when second first up at Gosford recently. The big track and longer trip is what she needs second up.
Oakfield Romance was nailed on the line first up at Gosford and she has a 3kg claim.
Mizzy was runner up at Warwick Farm last start and she has a chance.
