Race 1- Kalans Memorial Newcastle Nobby’s 900m
Hibiscus Lady is a brilliant speedster with three wins and a second from five starts. She was awesome first up at Gosford recently when she led all the way over 1000m. Last prep the mare bolted in on this track over this trip. Louise Day had her first ride on the mare last start, and she retains the ride.
Bentley Magic was runner up to Hibiscus Lady at Gosford and he is the main threat.
Silver Melody has a place chance.

Race 2- Metroll F&M Benchmark 64 Handicap – 1300m
Black And Tan is racing well enough to win this race. She was only beaten a length on the Kensington track last start and two starts back she was less than a length from the winner at Warwick Farm. The mare is a strong finisher and she will appreciate the long straight.
Sharapova has good credentials with a Warwick Farm Maiden win first up and a solid run at Rosehill last start.
Vive Marie has won here and she has a 3-kilogram claim.

Race 3- Robson Civil Projects C,G&E Benchmark 64 1300m
Great Danger carries the Le Romain colours and this is a winnable race for him. He was an odds on favourite first up at Wyong recently and he had no luck. He was continually steadied between the 400 and 300 metres but chased hard late. In February he was nailed on the line at Canterbury.
Invincible Dash won well at Gosford in his second start and he is a threat.
Bullet Fly resumes and he is a winner on this track

Race 4- N K Excavations Maiden Handicap 900m
Sangria was placed on debut at Kembla recently and she has the rails barrier. She raced greenly at Kembla when unwanted in the betting and this is a winnable race.
Kibibi wasn’t far away first up at Hawkesbury and she was narrowly beaten on this track in February.
Just Cosmos bolted in in a Wyong trial two weeks back.

Race 5- Wambo Coal Peabody Energy Maiden Plate 1400m
Aytobe has his foot on the till after placings in three of his four starts. He finished strongly when second in an unsuitable 900 metre event at Scone first up. Last start he was again strong when placed at Warwick Farm over 1300m.
Moon Panther has been placed in both starts this prep and he was run down late at Scone.
War Cabinet won a recent Warwick Farm trial.

Race 6- 65 Roses Hunter Stayers Cup Benchmark 70 2950m
Hotel Amour is flying with three wins on the trot. He won a 1600 Maiden at Newcastle on July 9 then came from a mile back to win a 2140m Class 1 at Goulburn. Last start he scored over 2400m at Kembla. His sire won a Melbourne Cup and he looks like he will run the trip.
Kellstorm drops in class from his recent Sydney starts and he has won over 2600m.
Latin Light will run a race on the home track

Race 7- The Junction Hotel F&M Maiden 1200m
Sunsuzie has the best form and she was narrowly beaten first up at Gosford after a tough run. She was trapped three wide with no cover and then raced in restricted room late. She was placed twice at Warwick Farm last prep.
Natanya is first up and she was placed at Newcastle and Warwick Farm last prep.
Heart Of The Oak went okay when second on debut at Wyong recently

Race 8- Newcastle Spring Racing Carnival- September 20 & 21- Maiden 1200m
Famous, a regally bred colt could be too classy for this field. He hasn’t raced since a close second to Deep Sea on the Kensington track in April and he trialled nicely at Rosehill recently.
Somervell was well fancied when close up on the Kensington track in April and he comes off a respectable trial.
Version Two tried hard when runner up on debut at Gosford recently and he has a chance.
