Cessnock Racecourse is a fully licensed and you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the venue. Cessnock Racecourse practices Responsible Service of Alcohol and all goods / bags / eskies etc will be checked prior to entrance to the racecourse.
Members and Patrons please note that picnic style non commercially prepared foods are allowed to be brought onto the premises.
Cessnock Racecourse has light food snacks and drinks available from the bar on race days. Cessnock Racecourse catering department are only too happy to accommodate large groups or special needs. To enquire contact the club on 4961 1573.

Marquees are no longer available for hire. Special packages are made available for the Cessnock Racecourse feature Race Days (inc. Jungle Juice) in October each year.

Entry to the general admission areas of the racecourse requires guests to be neatly dressed. Shoes and a shirt must be worn at all times. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions of entry for full details on dress regulations for entering the Cessnock Racecourse.
Outdoor tables and chairs are freely available to all general admission guests on a first-come, first-served basis.
No, due to conditions of Cessnock Racecourse licensing & regulations Cessnock Racecourse is not permitted to allow bucks parties entry to the course.
Cessnock Racecourse is a licensed venue. No minors are allowed on the premises unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. A wristband system is in place, whereby all guardians to wear a yellow G wristband and their minors a yellow M wristband - these will be issued at front gate. The parent or guardian must accompany all children under the age of 18 entering the venue at all times.
There are no restricted areas within the racecourse, however children under the age of 18 are not allowed to approach any beverage outlets or the saddling enclosure.
As Cessnock Racecourse is a public venue and is subject to venue smoking laws, smoking will only be permitted on lawn areas. Fines will be issued by Health Officials to those caught smoking in non smoking areas.
Lost property is located in the main office at Cessnock Racecourse. Lost property items are stored for a period of 3 months and will then be donated to charity. All enquiries regarding lost property should be directed to 02 4961 1573.
