Race 1- Sharp Electronics Group Class 1 Handicap 1150m

Cecilia has had five starts for a win and four placings and she finished strongly when beaten half a length at Port Macquarie recently. She is a winner second up and has drawn nicely.

Battle Guardian resumes after two impressive trials on this track and Standing Bear won well at Port Macquarie first up.

Race 2 – Hunter Valley Premium Meats F&M Maiden Handicap 1150m

Pentangili finished midfield in two starts at Flemington during May and June. She closed off well first up at Kembla two weeks ago and that run followed a nice trial at Rosehill.

Victorella was favourite on debut when a close third on the Newcastle track two weeks back and Hasalake drops in class after a debut placing at Gosford.

Race 3 – TAB Venue Mode CG&E Maiden Handicap 1200m

Ralph’s Folly had good provincial form during May and he looks a class above this field. He was only beaten a length at Kembla on May 16 and he has won a recent trial on this track.

So Commanding has been trialling well for his debut run and Indian Dancer has a place chance.

Race 4 – East Cessnock Bowling Club Cessnock Cup 2100m

Unamerican is a promising stayer and is well placed here. He bolted in by 2.3 lengths in his last start over 1875m on the Newcastle track. Last prep he was runner up in a 2350m event at Newcastle and he is ready for the 2100m fourth run back.

Occupy has a big weight but his last run when placed at Canterbury was his best for some time.

French Response steps up to a more suitable trip and should run well.

Race 5 – $1M Hunter Race Day Nov 14 Maiden Handicap 1350m

Our Cousin Al is good value in his third race start. He caught the eye with a strong finishing third at Gunnedah last start. He made up many lengths over an unsuitable trip at Port Macquarie on debut. The 1350m is ideal.

Distinctive Glory drops sharply in class here and his provincial form is good enough.

Hooyah was narrowly beaten on debut at Tamworth and he has since trialled okay.

Race 6 – Hungerford Hill F&M Benchmark 58 Handicap 1350m

Mosht Up has been racing in far stronger company and she has a claim and barrier one. Two starts back she was beaten a nose at Newcastle in a Benchmark 64.

Leisa Louise had good country form last prep and her first up run at Port Macquarie was okay.

Lucky Banner has been racing well at Scone and she has a chance.

Race 7 – Cessnock Leagues Club Jungle Juice Cup 1350m

General Soho has been racing well and is drawn to have a nice run off the speed. He was unlucky when narrowly beaten in a Tamworth Open Handicap two stats back before finishing midfield at Warwick Farm last start.

Super bolted in on the Newcastle track last start and is well weighted.

Zouologist was narrowly beaten in the Denman Cup last start and he was placed at Warwick Farm in a strong race in May.

Race 8 – Yarraman Park CG&E Benchmark 58 Handicap 1350m

Kowloon Treasure has had three starts for a win and two placings. He came from midfield to win at Goulburn last start and he was narrowly beaten at Moruya two starts back.

Sea Echo was narrowly beaten at Kembla second up and he has a huge weight.

Berruti is racing well but has to overcome a horror draw.
