Race 1- The Prince Of Merewether Class 1 Handicap 1200m
The early favourite Bat Pad raced at Gosford on Saturday and if she backs up, the filly is the one to beat. She won a 900 metre Maiden on this track on October 13 and she finished fourth at Gosford in a far superior race to this on Saturday.
No Laughing Matter led all the way to win a recent Wyong trial and if the favourite doesn’t run the filly will be at short odds.
Makana is up in class but won well at Muswellbrook.
Selections: 1- Bat Pad 6- No Laughing Matter 8- Makana
Race 2- Sharp Electronics Group F&M Maiden Handicap 1350m
Send Me Wild resumes after two quiet trials. The mare was narrowly beaten at Hawksbury when an odds- on favourite in May and she started favourite in two races in her first prep. She is a strong finisher and she will appreciate the long straight.
Don’t Recall was placed in her first two starts this prep while Press Start will appreciate the longer trip.
Selections: 1- Send Me Wild 7- Don’t Recall 6- Press Start
Race 3- New Zealand Bloodstock Benchmark 58 Handicap 1350m
Chewie Two is second up after having no luck at Dubbo first up. In May he was an easy winner at Goulburn and in the same month he went down by less than half a length in a strong race at Hawksbury. He has a big weight but has the best form and the longer trip is ideal.
Berruti has the rails barrier and is never far away and Misterzee was good first up.
Selections: 1- Chewie Two 6- Berruti 5- Misterzee
Race 4- Red Funnel CG&E Maiden Handicap 1350m
The regally bred Lumber Dream is on debut with blinkers. He was never on the track in a recent strong trial at Gosford but finished off well. He hasn’t drawn well but if he has luck in running, he will be hard to hold out.
Marcher Sur L’eau has won two trials recently and has speed.
Hooyah will run well after two creditable performances recently.
Selections: 4- Lumber Dream 5- Marcher Sur L’eau 3- Hooyah
Race 5- Coastline Pools And Spas Maiden Plate 1200m
Glowing Red was impressive when a close second on debut at Gosford on November 10. She loomed to win the straight but was bloused late. The filly will be better for the experience and Avdulla rides.
Super One Susie has been placed in all three starts this prep and the last two have been on Provincial tracks.
Jolie’s Choice has won two recent trials.
Selections: 10- Glowing Red 13- Super One Susie 12- Jolie’s Choice
Race 6- Hungerford Hill Wines Benchmark 58 Handicap 1200m
Ciao Uno is a short- priced favourite and has drawn nicely. She has had five starts for a win and three placings. She won first up at Port Macquarie by 5 ½ lengths and she was narrowly beaten there two weeks ago.
Pluck And Lucky was only beaten 2.7 lengths in a better race than this at Gosford two weeks ago and is well placed here.
Moinda races well second up.
Selections: 5- Ciao Uno 4- Pluck And Lucky 6- Moinda
