Gary Harley – Preview – 19.10.24

Race 1- Schneider Electrical Class 1 & Maiden Plate 2260m

Impunity has a good record on this track, and he is ready to win third up. He finished midfield in the VRC St Leger in April and he was a close third over 1800m at Hawkesbury last start on October 10.

War Ribbon has been placed in all three starts this prep and City Gold Ready was runner up at Goulburn last start.

Race 2 – NHP Electrical Engineering Super Maiden Plate 900m

Aged Care resumes after a couple of nice trials and he draws an inside barrier with Andrew Gibbons to ride. He was narrowly beaten on debut on this track in April and his only other start resulted fourth in the Inglis Challenge on Scone Cup Day.

Stablemate Flame Of Hestia has won two recent trials and Brokerage has speed.

Race 3- Cabac Provincial Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m

Akaka Falls is the class runner and will benefit from the 3-kilogram allowance. He has won two from five on this track and three of his six wins have been over this trip. His first up second on this track was an eye catcher.

Smiling Prophet resumes from a break but she has a win and two seconds on this track over this trip. One Kind has a light weight and has speed.

Race 4 – AFL Telecommunications Midway Class 1 Handicap 1200m

French Ruler has only had two starts but is promising. After a fast finishing second on debut at Canterbury in June he resumed with a strong win on this track on October 5. He has to overcome a wide barrier but is capable of doing so.

Trafalgar Square was only three lengths away in a Group 2 two starts back and Snatchreilly has speed to lead.

Race 5 – APS Industrial CG&E Maiden Handicap 1200m

Mougenot is good value and has drawn perfectly. This is his first start after a strong finishing second in a trial at Randwick on June 28. He has been scratched a couple of times but maps well from this barrier.

Mayweather is unbeaten in two recent trials but has a negative barrier while Lucky Force has been placed in four of five starts.

Race 6 – IPD Group F&M Maiden Handicap 1200m

The unraced filly Star Of Paris has very good trial form and she draws an inside barrier. She bolted in with a recent Muswellbrook trial after chasing home a smart stablemate in a Newcastle trial.

Tautou has been placed in four of seven starts and Socrazyinlove won a recent Warwick Farm trial.

Race 7 – TLE Jungle Juice Cup Conditional Handicap 1350m

Russley Crown won the race last year and he can win again. He is the best credentialed horse in the race and he is a leader with a 4-time Group 1 winning jockey. His first up second in an open Handicap at Tamworth was an eye catcher.

Dances With Hooves has won four of nine and has won on the track in April.

Crop Duster is very consistent and races well here.

Race 8 – Klein Tools Benchmark 64 Handicap 1600m

Audrey’s Lane was narrowly beaten at Kembla last start after a creditable run on the Kensington track. She is consistent but has to overcome a wide barrier.

Draco’s Fire is close to a win and has a claim for the gun apprentice.

Kenmare Bay is in top form.
