Cessnock Racecourse will host the ANZAC Day Races on Tuesday 25 April in support of Soldier On – helping our wounded warriors.
In a tribute to the courageous men, women and horses who served our nation, a special memorial dedicated to the ‘Walers’ used by the light Horsemen in the first world war will be unveiled along with a ceremony to acknowledge the roles horses and jockeys played in the war.
Two-Up will run from 12:30-2:30pm with entertainment by Venus Music who will perform throughout the afternoon.
The FREE Kids’ Zone will keep the littlies amused with face painting and a jumping castle.
Bring along a picnic and relax on the lawn or pick up something tasty from the course. A range of food will be available for purchase including fish n chips, sandwiches, pies and sausage rolls or grab a snag from the BBQ. There’s a FREE sausage sandwich and beverage for all service men and women.

Gates open at 12pm for the five-race meeting, with courtesy bus to/from Cessnock Leagues Club available for patrons.
