Kris Lees will round off his winningest season when he saddles up six of his team at the Newcastle race meeting on Tuesday. Lees goes into Tuesdays meeting with 189 ½ winners compared to his previous best 161.
Aaron Bullock is another enjoying a stellar season with 106 winners and he has an attractive book of rides on Tuesday.
All of Lees’ runners have genuine chances and they are Red Lily (race 1), Not Surprising and Kettering in (race 3), Biggles Would Go and Tartufo Bianco (race 5) and African Guy (race 7).
RACE 1 CESSNOCK LEAGUES CLUB CLASS 1 & MAIDEN (2360M)
This is an open race to kick off the day. Sunsout Shirtsoff has been placed in four of his last five starts. He was less than two lengths from the winner Hendo’s Magic in a stronger race at Cessnock last start. He is more likely to run the trip than most others in this race.
Red Lily was a last start winner over 1516 metres at Port Macquarie and she steps up to this trip for the first time.
Sacred Peak was placed at Tamworth last start.

RACE 2 YARRAMAN PARK STUD CLASS 2 (1570M)
Serious Dancer will find this easier than when she was run down by White Boots at Cessnock last start. The mare will be fitter after three runs from a spell and she was beaten less than three lengths at a Newcastle Provincial Class 2 two runs back.
Shoal River has good form on the South and the three-kilogram claim will be beneficial.
Fanny Chenal has sound country form.

RACE 3 EAST CESSNOCK BOWLING CLUB CLASS 3 (1200M)
Not Surprising drops in class here and she is ready to win after three runs from a spell. The mare was beaten just over a length by the unbeaten Miss Celebration at Gosford last start. She was beaten less than a length on this track two starts back.
Lady Chalfont was narrowly beaten at Kembla last start and she will have a 4-kilogram claim.
Red Braids is consistent, and she is an on pacer

RACE 4 AUSTRALIAN BLOODSTOCK BENCHMARK 55 (900M)
Rouge Runner resumes here on the back of a good trial win. He raced three times earlier this year and he was narrowly beaten at Scone before a strong win on that track. He is quick and has drawn well over the short course.
Cheers Joyce drops in class and she races well here.
Miss Gigi is a short courser with a chance.

RACE 5 IGA LIQUOR MAIDEN (900M)
Biggles Would Go is on debut after a nice trial on this track three weeks ago. The colt was beaten a nose in the trial by a Group 2 placegetter and he has a soft draw.
Two Cool has been trialling well and has speed.
Beep Beep’s country form is okay.

RACE 6 HUNGERFORD HILL WINES MAIDEN (1350M)
Aggarwal was narrowly beaten when favourite at Hawksbury last start. He hasn’t drawn well but it is a winnable race and he will be fitter third run back. Bullock rides and he will go forward.
Angiolini is on a quick back up but drops sharply in class and has speed.
Whitsunday is racing well and has a chance.

RACE 7 SHARP ELECTRONICS BENCHMARK 55 (1350M)
Single Intent has had two runs in this stable and is ready to win. He was only beaten a length at Scone last start after leading most of the way. The rails barrier is a big plus.
The Outcast has been placed in his past two and races well on this track.
Nathan Road landed a plunge in his first start in this state and looked good.
