Please see the trial replay alongside a jockey report following Newy’s trial this morning at Newcastle.
Newy finished in 3rd place, beaten by 1.6 lengths.
Newy jumped professionally from the barriers, allowing him to surge forward and control the tempo of the early stages of the race.
The jockey, Andrew, was very pleased with his trial, mentioning that he was “much sharper” today than his previous trial.
Newy was able to quicken nicely when he felt the prese of the two horses either side of him. He showed his skill and intelligence today; however he is still very green and has so much improvement.
Andrew made mention that his improvement from his first trial to this one was monumental and that he will be a successful racehorse if he was able to maintain his upward trajectory.
We will update you on Newy as soon as we hear more from the stable.
Overall, a very positive trial and we cannot wait to see what he is capable of next!
