Race 1 – First National Super Maiden Plate 900m

The unraced Private Harry is very fast and has won his past four trials. He led all the way and bolted in with a recent Newcastle trial. He has a nice barrier and top jockey, and he will be favourite.

Esraar has speed and trialled twice at Rosehill recently and Rubi’s Serve was placed three times last prep.

Selections:      2- Private Harry             7- Esraar            5- Rubi’s Serve

Race 2 – HLM Midway Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m

Zoe Shark has speed to burn and was run down late by One Kind over this trip on October 19. She clashes again with One Kind but meets that mare 4.5 kilograms better at the weights.

One Kind will be hard to beat as she races well on the track.

Livin’ Thing a Hawkesbury winner in September has had a recent trial.

Selections:      8- Zoe Shark   3- One Kind     2- Livin’ Thing

Race 3 – Huxley Hill Maiden Handicap 1300m

This is a very strong maiden with Chris Waller and James Cummings being two of the main contenders. Waller’s Sister Daae was only beaten two lengths at Warwick Farm in her only start in June and she has led two recent trials.

Cummings filly Amusing has had a number of trials and won the most recent at Hawkesbury on October 14.

Aroha Stone had no luck first up recently at Hawkesbury.

Selections:      2- Sister Daae                3- Amusing      9- Aroha Stone

Race 4 – Elders Insurance Class 1 Handicap 1300m

Ace’s In Bloom is knocking on the door with placings in her past three starts and she has barrier one. The mare sports blinkers for the first time and she has a good Newcastle record for a win and three placings from five starts on the track.

Irish Bliss is smart and resumes after a Newcastle trial win.

Pier Pressure is the class mare and is trialling well.

Selections:      4- Ace’s In Bloom        2- Irish Bliss    1- Pier Pressure

Race 5 – Newcastle Car & Truck Rental Maiden Handicap 1300m

First starter Rotagilla from the Waller stable has very good barrier trial form and has the perfect barrier. He was very strong when a close second at Rosehill in a trial on October 18. The well-bred 3-year-old will appreciate the 1300 metres.

Omnic had no luck first up on this track where he has raced well in the past.

Blend Of Three can race well from the good barrier.

Selections:      3- Rotagilla      1- Omnic           2- Blend Of Three

Race 6 – Australian Construction Group Benchmark 64 Handicap 1900m

Be Real is ready to win after two runs form a spell. The mare has won on the track, and she was narrowly beaten first up on this track on October 1. The longer trip is ideal, and she will race clear from barrier one.

Supertrail was run down late at Muswellbrook recently and will be fitter while Cheval Sevant is ready to improve.

Selections:      4- Be Real         3- Supertrail    1- Cheval Sevant

Race 7 – Maitland Rugby Cup Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1500m

Dreamdeel is a tough on pacer with a win and four seconds on this track. He was narrowly beaten in the Jungle Juice Cup here two weeks back and he is well weighted with the apprentice’s claim.

Sixspeed was doing his best work late when fourth in the Jungle Juice Cup.

Bestower is fitter after one run from a spell.

Selections:      2- Dreeamdeel              1- Sixspeed      3- Bestower

Race 8 – Hunt Hospitality – Class 1 Handicap 1600m

Invincible Emma won on debut on this track in May and her only start since wasn’t far away at Kembla first up three weeks ago. She has a lovely barrier and is in a top stable.

Brazil came from last to win at Kembla three weeks ago and he will be hard to beat.

Dunaloce is consistent.

Selections:      3- Invincible Emma    1- Brazil              6- Dunaloce
