Race 1 – B&R Class 1 & Maiden Plate 1895m
Fioprospero has put the writing on the wall with two recent eye-catching performances on this track. He has no speed and storms home from the tail of the field. This is his fourth run this preparation and last start over the Newcastle mile on July 13 he powered home to go down by a length. He loves Newcastle and this longer trip.
Barazin was unlucky two starts back at Wyong and Special Day is a solid stayer.

Race 2 – Prysmian Conditional Benchmark 68 Handicap 1600m
Shuri is crying out for this trip after she flew home late for a close second on this track over 1400m last start. She won her first two starts at Taree and Newcastle last spring and the blinkers go on for the first time.
Amicus Curiae is the class runner and a last start Newcastle winner while Doraskaya was good first up.

Race 3 – Haneco Maiden Plate 900m
The Godolphin filly Homecoming has had several trials and is ready to win on debut. She led all the way hard held to win a recent Warwick Farm trial. The filly has the perfect barrier and Mitchell Bell rides.
Stratified is very quick and will appreciate the shorter trip after a close third in a Kembla 1200m last start. Capital Dancer has been placed in all three starts over this trip on this track.

Race 4 – Schneider Benchmark 64 Handicap 900m
Florida Sky is well placed with the apprentice’s claim, and she races well on her home track. Third up at Newcastle last start on July 13 the mare was a close third after leading. She has won on a soft track and her apprentice rider Braith Nock is one of the best.
Too Darn Lovely has won two from three and is very quick while King’s Duty resumes and at his best can win.

Race 5 – CNW Jockeys Celebration Day Midway 4yo & Up Maiden Handicap 1200m
Captain Eagle has been a beaten favourite in his only two starts but the blinkers go on and he is the one to beat. On debut at Kembla on June 20 he was beaten half a length and last start he played up in the barriers and did not handle the heavy track when fourth at Hawkesbury.
Lady Ichikawa just missed at Hawkesbury first up and Classic Poetry has been runner up twice in recent starts.

Race 6 – NHP NSW Jockeys Association Provincial Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Invincible Whip is first up, and he had good form last spring. He bolted in on a Scone soft track in October and his recent trials have been okay.
Nightcapped resumes after two trials and races well on this track while My Mate Cobber is a recent winner here.

Race 7 – Clevertronics Super Maiden Plate 1400m
Trunk is well placed here after two metropolitan placings recently. He is quick and has led in all four starts. Last start at Canterbury on July 24 he was beaten less than half a length. He was beaten 3.8 lengths in a $2 million race at Randwick in February.
King Of Thunder is on debut and has been trailing okay while Eclipsion was beaten a head at Warwick Farm in March.

Race 8 – Cabac Benchmark 64 Handicap 1400m
Poppin’ Champagne is first up since being placed in the Listed Morphetville Guineas in March. She won a Moe maiden in a canter in February. The mare is a front runner and Ash Morgan rides.
Bend The Knee is ready to win, and Naval Seal likes a wet track and has a couple of metropolitan placings.
